Not only is Alberto Del Rio, one of the most popular main-eventers of the last few years, back in WWE, but he defeated John Cena cleanly for the U.S. Championship. This is an important turn of events for WWE. It was reported that WWE were looking for a new wrestler to become their top Latino draw in Del Rios absence, and from the looks of it they decided to go for Del Rio himself. This suggests that both Del Rio and WWE have managed to come to an agreement over last years racism fiasco, which does a lot to help WWEs public image. Though Del Rio didnt injure Cenas arm to explain his forthcoming absence, and their match wasnt the longest, it still did some good in adding some new faces to the U.S. title picture. Del Rio is known for his technique and ability to put on great matches with pretty much everyone, and can act as both a face and a heel. So although we might not get the same exciting US open Challenge matches from earlier this year, at least Del Rios presence and add new things to the roster, especially since he appears to be working with Zeb Colter going forward.
