6. WWE Loves Odd Couples

If there's one thing WWE Creative loves, it is an odd couple tag team champions that just can't get along. We've seen plenty of them over the years, whether it was the various main event combinations that held tag gold during the Attitude Era (Rock 'n Sock, Austin & Dude Love) or even more modern incarnations such as Team Hell No, and Cesaro & Sheamus fit the bill of two top guys who just can't get on the same page despite clearly being on the same page.

It has been a couple of years since WWE ran with a true odd couple tag team as their flagship champions, so the time is right for the two beefy Europeans to tick this particular WWE Creative bi-annual box. The stars have aligned for the Swiss and the Irishman, so to speak.

The last real odd couple to hold these titles were The Miz & Damien Mizdow in winter 2014. Enough time has passed for the WWE creative team to have forgotten about that and to think it is a fresh idea once again.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
