WWE Hell In A Cell 2016: Ranking Every Match From Worst To Best
4. Cruiserweight Title: T.J. Perkins (c) Vs. Brian Kendrick
Result: Kendrick locks in the Captain's Hook to win the title (10:35).
Rating: The crowd were regrettably dead for this one following the Universal Title match, but it was a rock solid athletic contest all the same, even if they had to continually work against a dead arena.
The tape spot was dumb as all hell, but there was some great ring psychology here, especially Kendrick's false selling which of course allowed him to eventually surprise his younger, more naive opponent, but Perkins came out of it well protected.
The ending is likely to divide a lot of fans who either see Perkins as idiotic or compassionate for checking on Kendrick, especially given how well known Kendrick's heel tactics are. It was a surprising end but made sense psychologically: a man with a plan indeed. 7/10
