At the risk of sounding like a total masochist, it's encouraging that WWE are suddenly so willing to focus on someone's legitimate pain. At HIAC, they zoomed in on Ali's bruised ribs to show off the discolouration and convey his agony.

That's overdue. WWE typically try to avoid the notion of wrestlers getting hurt, bloodied or visibly battered during matches unless it's a special occasion.
