WWE Hell In A Cell 2019: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
9. WWE Universal Title - Hell In A Cell: Seth Rollins (c) Vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt
Result: The match ends due to referee stoppage because...reasons? (17:30)
Rating: Conducting the entire match under red lighting was...a choice, and the first of many bad ones they made here. It had a pretty standard Hell in a Cell match layout with little interesting on offer, especially compared to the women's equivalent earlier on.
The low energy throughout was hampered by the mind-boggling decision to basically present The Fiend as the most powerful entity on the roster, kicking out of something like a dozen Stomps...before spending the second half of the match napping and then eventually receiving medical attention.
Ultimately this was the exact opposite of what it should've been - another extended burial of Bray Wyatt that was sloppy, nonsensical and sure to satisfy basically nobody. Clearly they had no idea how to book the match, so just opted for a lazy, insulting cop-out.
Way to derail a promising talent's push and make your champ look like a geek all at the same time, while giving your competition some free publicity with those AEW chants. Yikes. The comparisons to WCW are spot-on. 3/10
