Regardless of his often exposition-heavy monologues, Randy Orton has been enjoying one of the finest runs of his career. The Viper is at his best when he's portrayed as a ruthless self-serving snake and that's exactly what he's been over the past couple of months. The only problem is that this resurgence is getting a little bogged down with losses for the Legend Killer.

Orton was unstoppable ahead of his feud with Drew McIntyre and even though he's gotten the better of the WWE Champion on multiple occasions, he keeps coming up short in the ring. He's fallen to the Scottish Psychopath on two PPV matches and even lost to newcomer Keith Lee in another. Though it was refreshing to see Orton protecting the future of WWE by making the younger stars look strong, one does wonder if it's time for him to earn a win back.

The upcoming Hell In A Cell match between McIntyre and Orton is playing heavily on the notion that the former hasn't stepped into the Devil's Playground before, with WWE and Orton himself reminding us that The Viper thrives in the environment. Whether or not that's giving McIntyre an 'excuse to lose' - protecting him from a decisive loss, if you will - remains to be seen, but it does feel like WWE is looking at shifting the momentum back in Orton's favor.

With that in mind, don't be surprised if he ends McIntyre's title reign inside the cell. He shouldn't, but he just might.
