Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio
No disrespect to either competitor, but I don't think anybody cares for this match. Neither man exactly oozes with charisma and while it could very well be a solid encounter between two good ring workers, there needs to be something on the line for people to be invested in it. After losing time and time again in a feud with Sheamus that seemed to last forever, it's good to see Del Rio move on to a new opponent. It is over a year since Del Rio won on PPV (admittedly four months of those were injury struck) and he could really use a victory here. As far Randy Orton, his tumultuous 2012 continues. After being the second biggest face in the company, his stock has fallen and only made worse by his suspension in the summer; being left off the SummerSlam card completely. But being a 9-time world champion, and coming off the back of beating Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions, it's easier to keep him relevant when losing than it is with Del Rio.
Prediction: I could honestly see this going either way. But since Del Rio made Orton tap out a few weeks ago and the majority of faces prevail on PPV, I'll say Randy will get his win back here.
