Yesterday's meeting in Tampa brought the news that while WWE WrestleMania 36 hasn't been postponed or cancelled yet, its status still hangs in the balance, with another meeting scheduled for next Thursday afternoon.

The coronavirus outbreak worsening could still mean WWE being forced into taking action when it comes to their biggest show of the year. Yesterday saw them issue an official statement on the matter:-

"While we remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that it is cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues. The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay."

Tampa city officials stressed that while they'd advised WWE not to hold WrestleMania 36 on 5 April as scheduled, it was essentially up for the promotion to take action themselves. If that doesn't happen, they'll have another conversation about the event next week.
