WWE Legend Calls Wrestling "A Big Guy's Business"

Twitter might have a field day with this WWE Hall Of Famer's recent comments.

Baron Corbin recently stuck it to independent wrestlers during quite the rant on WWE's show 'The Bump'.

Now, his manager JBL has joined in on the trolling fun by claiming that pro wrestling will always be "a big guy's business" on the same episode. According to Layfield, it was bigger dudes who helped pave the way for smaller ones in the modern era - JBL added some context by pointing to WrestleMania III in 1987, and used the mythical 93,000 crowd number to illustrate his point.

None of this will go over particularly well with fans on Twitter, but it's pretty clear that JBL and Corbin know exactly what they're doing here. Both WWE heels want to annoy those who favour smaller, more technical or high-flying performers over muscular, tall workers.

They'll get the reaction they're looking for.

Layfield went on to credit Johnny Gargano as "a wonderful wrestler", but said people tune in to watch men like Baron do their thing first and foremost. Staying in character, JBL then added that "this business needs Baron Corbin" more than he needs it to be successful.
