WWE Legend Mike 'I.R.S.' Rotunda Enters Hospice Care (WWE News)
Barry Windham has revealed that Mike Rotunda is in hospice care.
WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham has asked fans to send prayers to his US Express tag team partner Mike Rotunda, with Windham revealing that Mike is currently in hospice care.
Barry was speaking to Bill Apter at the Glory Days/Grapple Con convention this past weekend, where he spoke about his love for the Rotunda family and stated that Mike is in hospice care. No further details were given, but the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion asked fans to pray for Mike.
Not just were Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda two-time WWE Tag Team Champions during their time together as the US Express, but they are also brother-in-laws, with Mike married to Barry's sister, Stephanie. Of course, Mike Rotunda is the father of current WWE star Bo Dallas and the late, great Bray Wyatt, and also has a daughter, Mika.
As well as that US Express run in 1984 and 1985, Mike Rotunda had notable spells as part of the Varsity Club in Jim Crockett Promotions, as Michael Wallstreet/V.K. Wallstreet in WCW, and most famously as I.R.S. in the then-WWF, where he, as part of Money Inc. with Ted DiBiase, added another three Tag Team Titles. Mike also served as a road agent/producer for WWE over the years, in addition to making various cameo appearances as his Irwin R. Schyster character. The US Express was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2024 class.
For those not familiar with hospice care, it's a care service that aims to deliver the best quality of life for terminally ill patients.
