WWE Legend Showers AJ Styles With Praise For Recent Tag-Team Work
This WWE Hall Of Famer is a HUGE fan of what AJ Styles' is doing with Omos on Raw.
"DAMN!"
That's all WWE legend Ron Simmons can say when he watches literally anything AJ Styles does inside the ring every week on Raw. The one-time Faarooq told fans tuning into a special Facebook Q&A for the Virtual Highspots Wrestling Network that he "likes the way [AJ] is working".
That's also true of Styles' current tag-team run alongside his "Personal Colossus" Omos on Monday nights. Simmons has been impressed by AJ's leadership qualities, and thinks sitting under the veteran's learning tree can only be a good thing for the towering big man.
It's hard to argue with that.
Ron especially likes that AJ "knows how to blend in something with the old style"; basically, he thinks that Styles' ability to tell stories during his matches (without sacrificing any of the high tempo spots modern pro wrestling is expected to provide) is something that sets him apart from most on the WWE roster.
The Hall Of Famer also added in that wrestling has started to get away from "telling a story" during matches. That's partly why he's so hot on Styles - AJ "knows when to do certain things in the ring".
