WWE Making Major Change To WrestleMania 38 Main Event?

Plans change, pal. Even when it's WrestleMania...

WWE is yet to decide on the main event of WrestleMania 38's first night.

Despite reports earlier this week that the promotion was planning on putting 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's KO Show appearance (and presumed brawl with Kevin Owens) on last on 2 April, Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this wasn't the case as of midweek.

While it sounds like the situation is in flux, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey's SmackDown Women's Championship match was pencilled in to headline the Saturday show. This could always change between now and then, however, as the match order is constantly shifting, which will likely be the case up until show day.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar closing the Sunday show is set in stone. This has been the case from the start.

'Stone Cold' is said to be in great shape ahead of what will be his most significant physical WWE angle since WrestleMania 19, where he wrestled his last match against The Rock. While it initially looked like Austin might be set to work his first full bout since that Rock defeat, it appears a heated, combustible KO Show appearance will have to suffice.
