Will The Man be able to avenge her loss from this year's Royal Rumble PPV?

Having reignited their rivalry lately, it looks like Asuka vs. Becky Lynch is on the way sooner rather than later.

According to The Wrestling Observer, these two grapplers could be set to do battle once more as soon as next month’s Royal Rumble PPV.

As has been alluded to on WWE TV in recent weeks, Asuka is essentially Becky’s ‘white whale’. Despite winning the women’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year, Lynch actually tapped out to The Empress of Tomorrow earlier that night in a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Even though The Man has been on a tear that’s seen her beat pretty much every female on the roster, she’s yet to properly avenge that Rumble loss to Asuka. And following the recent Kubuki Warriors vs. Becky Lynch and Charlotte feud, it’s expected that the focus will now be switched to Asuka vs. Lynch.

If Uncle Dave is to be believed, it’s Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman who is behind the call to move forward with Asuka as the next challenger for Lynch’s Raw Women’s Championship. In fact, reports suggest that Heyman has been championing this rivalry for the past several months now.

The 2020 edition of the Royal Rumble emanates from Houston, Texas’ Minute Maid Park on January 26th.
