WWE May Sign Two Former Impact Stars This Week

Reno Scum could be on the way to Stamford.

WWE were theoretically given a huge jolt up the jacksie with the AEW's incredible debut show this Saturday, though that wasn't necessarily evident from this past week's episode of Monday Night Raw.

Rather than improve their product, it seems the under-pressure industry leader is going to try to stifle the competition in its usual manner - by hoovering up as much independent talent as possible.

The HR department is whirling as ever, and it looks as though a pair of former Impact stars could be heading to Stamford. Andrew Thornstowe, one half of tag team Reno Scum, Tweeted this past week that he and his partner Luster the Legend may soon be WWE bound - with a contract possible by the end of the week.

Obviously, a Tweet saying you're signing for WWE is nothing like confirmation - I could declare myself King of Spain on social media, for example - but Thornstowe is going to look jolly red-faced if it doesn't come to fruition.

Reno Scum briefly performed in Impact in March 2017, having migrated from Jeff Jarrett's GFW project. They are currently independent promotion Championship Wrestling from Hollywood's World Tag Team champs.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
