WWE Money In The Bank: 10 Awesome Moments

9. Dean Ambrose Salutes The 'American Dream'

The tributes didn't end with a mere video package or ten bell salute, several members of the roster couldn't help but show their appreciation and admiration for Dusty Rhodes. Among those names was Dean Ambrose, a man vying to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Title in a heated ladder bout opposite reigning champ Seth Rollins. Perched high atop a ladder inside the ring, Ambrose seemed to gesture in honour of Rhodes, before delivering an elbow strike onto his opponent. As if hammering the point home, Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL all made reference to the 'Bionic Elbow' that the guy had just delivered, a move which just so happened to be associated heavily with the 'American Dream' himself. When 'Macho Man' Randy Savage passed away in 2011, CM Punk started to use his trademark diving elbow drop in tribute, so maybe this could become a part of Ambrose's act? Dressing the way he does, like a 'common' man, there's no reason to suspect that Ambrose wasn't influenced by Dusty during his formative years watching wrestling, and this would be a nice way to celebrate that fact.
