WWE Money In The Bank 2016: 10 Awesome Moments
9. The New Day Retain The WWE Tag-Team Titles
Expect it to be written a fair few times between now and SummerSlam, but The New Day shouldn't be dropping the WWE Tag-Team Titles at the moment. As of Money In The Bank, the boys are 301 days deep into a stellar reign with the championships, close to breaking the record set by Paul London and Brian Kendrick years ago (331 days).
Despite JBL's assertions that New Day's title reign had never been in greater jeopardy, they were perhaps expected to come out on the winning end at Money In The Bank and leave with their tenure intact. Still, it was great to have confirmation of that, leaving the show safe in the knowledge that The New Day are still on the proverbial tag-team throne.
A title loss would have been reckless, not to mention entirely needless. Not only should they break the previous record, they should smash it. New Day are where they are for a reason, fans aren't quite bored of their stint at champions quite yet. Therefore, there's no need to change a thing.
