3. Having AJ Styles Defeat John Cena

As any self-respecting heel should, AJ Styles will likely shout from the rooftops about coming into John Cena's domain and defeating him. It shouldn't matter to AJ that he was helped heavily by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson - he still won. During the course of their match, Styles matched Cena all the way anyway.

The booking of their bout was flawless, because the opportunity exists to have them tangle once again. Battleground now has a big marquee match if WWE choose, and nobody can be sour on the idea of Cena and Styles going at it again.

AJ may never be given another win over Cena on WWE pay-per-view, so this is one to savour despite the screwy finish. He was permitted to kick out of the Attitude Adjustment, escape the STF, and also look quicker and more determined than Cena in the early moments of the match.

The positives far outweigh the negatives with this one, because who ever thought AJ Styles would be booked to beat John Cena at all?
