WWE Money In The Bank 2017 - 10 Things That Must Happen Tonight!
1. Rusev Returns
Back in April’s Superstar Shakeup, Rusev was switched from SmackDown to Raw. Except, you’d never have known if you’d missed that shakeup, because Rusev is yet to make a single live televised appearance since moving to Tuesday nights.
Admittedly he was initially sidelined with a shoulder injury, but since then there’s been talk of a WWE title programme as well as a potential showdown with Shane McMahon, but none of it has amounted to anything.
Thankfully, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Rusev’s been cleared to return, and given that Money in the Bank is on the horizon, the timing couldn’t be better. The show’s ladder match offers the perfect chance for him to run an interference and bring him back into the fold with a meaningful programme. Failing that, perhaps we could even see him interject himself and steal the briefcase for himself somehow, or if we really want to stretch the realm of possibility, what about a run-in to help his wife Lana in her SmackDown Women’s Championship match?
Long story short, there’s no shortage of ways of bringing Rusev back at Money in the Bank this weekend. If anything, the only conundrum is settling on which of the many possibilities would be the best-case scenario.
