WWE Money In The Bank 2019: Star Ratings For All 12 Matches

10. Samoa Joe Vs. Rey Mysterio - United States Championship Match

STARS AJ Styles Seth Rollins
WWE

According to PWInsider, WWE didn’t opt here for a weird revisit of the Randy Orton Vs. Rusev feud of 2017, not that you’d put it past them: no, after a lethal start in which Joe hacked Rey’s thighs to bits with a series of pelting kicks, the Underdog caught him with a surprise pinning combination to win the inflated, meaningless United States Title in under two minutes. WWE reportedly called an audible, concerned at the nature of Joe’s hardway cut, creating mass confusion that resulted in a botched finish. Hilariously, WWE being WWE, many thought at the time, with some justification, that the referee looked like a total dipsh*t just to prolong the storyline.

Not that you’d put it past them, etc. etc.

Star Rating: N/R
