Rhea Ripley was supposed to be Bianca Belair's MITB opponent before injury took her out of the frame for this show. Left with few choices, WWE thumbed through the scraps and went with Carmella as a placeholder. That's fine, but there are no real question marks over who's leaving the pay-per-view with that red and gold strap.

Routine win for the 'EST' incoming.

'Mella proved to be a fine 'B' level foe for Belair when Bianca was SmackDown's top champ, so this could be a bit of a sleeper hit come Saturday. Is it unbelievably exciting? Well, no, but these women will have a solid-enough match. It's better that Carmella jobs to Belair than Rhea right now anyway.

One KOD is all it should take to keep 'Mella down for the count. Before the finish, the company can get straight to business and start preparing Bianca's inevitable blowoff match against a woman she just can't seem to shake...
