WWE Network Event Special To Come From A Beach?

WWE is interested in filming a WWE Network special from a beach location, according to the Wrestling Observer. It would be similar to when WCW held its Bash at the Beach event on Huntington Beach in California on July 16, 1995 It was a successful PPV for WCW because it was an outdoor show with a reported 9,000 people in attendance. They only did it once, though, so there were probably some logistical problems with it as well that were likely seen as troublesome enough to never try it again. The main event was Hulk Hogan defeating Vader in a Steel Cage match while Randy Savage beat Ric Flair in a "Lifeguard Match" that was basically a Lumberjack Match. They could use the Bash at the Beach name because it was a WCW PPV event that they ran from 1994 to 2000 that older fans would be familiar with. WWE has a history of not using WCW names for things, so chances are good that they would rename it. This sounds like one of those ideas that may be better served for next summer because with August almost here there's not much time to give it a "summer feel."
