WWE Newcastle Live: 12 Interesting Observations
7. Fandango Isn't As Over As WWE Thinks He Is In England...
Alberto Del Rio, despite being advertised as being part of a triple threat match with Kalisto and Ryback for the United States Championship, took on Damien Sandow (SANDOW WAS THERE OMG!) and dispatched the former stuntman in next to no time.
Del Rio said he didn't come to the UK to have a two minute match, so challenged anybody to come down to the ring for an impromptu match.
Down came Fandango, and down came the audience's eyebrows as their expectant smiles turned into frowns.
Presumably, WWE think Fandango is over with the British crowd because of how his theme - not Fandango himself - was received during a RAW in London. You know, when WWE changed his theme from the 'darker' version to the one we all chant along to, because us randy Europeans love a good chant.
Needless to say, Fandango coming out and beating Del Rio in next to no time went down like a fart in church.
