WWE Newcastle Live: 12 Interesting Observations
4. It Was Really Sold Out
How many times have we seen WWE fabricate attendance figures in the past? Heck, even WrestleMania 32's figure was reportedly inflated by a few thousand or so.
But the company weren't fibbing when they said WrestleMania Revenge was sold out in Newcastle. I was sat pretty close to the back of the arena and there wasn't a spare seat in sight.
When tickets first went on sale both Daniel Bryan and The Undertaker were advertised so a seat at the event was always going to be hot property. And even with Taker billed up until last weekend, us Geordies still looked like we were going to be in for one hell of a monumental show - maybe Taker's last in the UK...
However, we didn't get what was advertised, even if getting Triple H/Dean Ambrose was an ample substitute.
It'll never be known what sort of house would have been drawn if the card that took place was advertised from the start.
