There isn't much build for this one. It seems like one of those "they have nothing else to do, so let's match them up" type of matches. There's nothing wrong with that because they're veterans that the fans have watched for over a decade, but it would be nice if there was more to the feud than Orton simply attacking Jericho in the trainer's room. It should be noted that Jericho is taking off after this show. He's got music commitments with his band Fozzy as well as promoting his third book that comes out in October. Jericho has mentioned he'll be gone from WWE after this until he makes his next comeback, whenever that may be. This match is taking place so Orton can get back his momentum after losing clean to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. It's not like a loss can ever really hurt Orton considering his status in the company, but it makes sense that a win over Jericho would get him on the right track again. It wouldn't be a surprise if he "injures" Jericho either. Perhaps he brings back The Punt to send Jericho away until he feels the need to return again. A pinfall win for Orton seems like the biggest lock of the night. Winner: Randy Orton
