WWE Night Of Champions 2014 Results Predictions

1. Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena, WWE World Heavyweight Championship

The rematch for the WWE Title is going to be a lot more competitive than their match at SummerSlam was. If you'll recall, that match saw Lesnar dominate about 95% of it. He hit 16 German Suplexes during the match, which meant that Cena was landing on the back of his head for the majority of it. When Lesnar hit that final F5 there was no kicking out for Cena. It was one of the most dominant ass-kickings in a major match in a very long time. Lesnar as the heel WWE Champion is an easy story to tell. He brings the kind of credibility to the WWE Title that nobody else brings. He also works a part time schedule that makes it hard to book shows when he is barely around. The advantage to having Lesnar as champ is that WWE can line up contenders for several months before somebody finally knocks him down, possibly at WrestleMania. Heels are better as champion while faces are better challenging them. That's why Lesnar's situation works even though he's barely around. Putting the WWE Title back on Cena five weeks after he lost it wouldn't do much good. The way the match should go is Cena should be a lot more competitive and come close to winning several times, but ultimately lose in the end. From there the story of his career will be about trying to get back to being the man again. Just because Cena wins nearly all of his feuds, that doesn't mean he has to win this one. If they have a competitive match like we expect then it could be awesome just like their Extreme Rules 2012 battle was. It's probably going to be the match of the night too. In the end, the decision should be that Lesnar retains the gold because that's truly what is best for business.
