WWE NXT: 10 Best Non-Indy Wrestlers
3. Rusev
The Bulgarian Brute didn't spend too long in NXT before moving up to the main roster.
Taking NXT by storm, Rusev plowed through his competition with his incredible strength and surprising agility. He was soon joined by an enigmatic valet Lana who believe it or not, didn't say much during his matches.
The pair moved up to the main roster where he went undefeated for nearly a year and won the United States Title, before running into John Cena. From there they entered a feud where he unfortunately lost three straight Pay Per View matches in a row - a record even for a Cena opponent! Since then a broken ankle and a messy feud with Dolph Ziggler involving Lana and Summer Rae has done little to restore his momentum.
Nonetheless, Rusev came a long way in a short time and became an established dominant heel in his first year. He was given a spectacular star making entrance at WrestleMania 31 and can still perform at a high level with various opponents.
I'm confident that with enough time, WWE can slowly rebuild him.
