Having been out of action since April of last year, NXT's Sol Ruca wrestled her first match in ten months over the weekend.

In addition to fan footage of Ruca back in action, the star herself took to X to celebrate this return.

Taking place on Friday from the Crystal River Armory in Florida, that return saw Sol Ruca team with Brinley Reece in a losing effort against Chase U's Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne.

Prior to this, Ruca's last match was a successful tag team outing, where she and Dani Palmer - herself out of action after requiring double hip surgery - picked up a win over Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson at an April 2023 live event. Sol's most recent TV contest was earlier that month, losing to Tiffany Stratton.

In storyline, Sol Ruca was written off TV after being one of several talents injured by Blair Davenport. As such, it'll be interesting to see whether the 24-year-old has Davenport in her crosshairs as and when she returns to NXT TV. In reality, Ruca suffered an ACL tear in April and underwent surgery on 2 May.
