Whenever online fans react to something controversial, you can almost set your watch to someone doing something incredibly stupid, insensitive, or even dangerous. Some fans just can't temper their reactions and take it far too far.

The biggest wrestling-related story in WWE right now obviously is Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes seemingly giving up his WrestleMania XL Undisputed WWE Universal Title match against Roman Reigns and allowing The Rock to take his place in challenging the Tribal Chief.

The SmackDown segment Friday night triggered a massive upheaval online, with fans launching a #WeWantCody hashtag and plotting ways to pressure WWE to undo what many perceive as a colossal mistake. But apparently, some fans have taken it too far.

Ava, the NXT GM and The Rock's 22-year-old daughter, revealed Monday that she's received death threats as part of this fallout.

The fourth-generation superstar also pleaded with people to leave her out of the discussion because she's "busy running a SHOW".

It should go without saying that threatening anyone online is beyond unacceptable behavior, but to target Rock's daughter simply because you're pissed at the legend -- over a wrestling show -- is just deranged. Hopefully, these individuals have been reported to the authorities.

During NXT Vengeance Day Sunday night, Ava was seen on the screen during a backstage interview, and fans in the arena could be heard booing her, but that's vastly different than wishing harm (or worse) on someone.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
