6. We Witnessed History With The First Ever Finn Balor Vs. Sami Zayn Match
After some extensive Googling, this actually seems to be true... I was shocked to hear NXT announcer Greg Hamilton claim that last night was the first ever match between Finn Balor and Sami Zayn. Ever. Looking at how the two men performed, you would have thought they had worked together over 1000 times. I suppose they are just that damn good... Despite Sami missing the last seven months through injury he didn't miss a beat. He gave us everything in his arsenal including a pitch perfect plancha where he landed on his feet. He was favouring his injured shoulder throughout the match but this was just supremely good selling rather than through necessity. One detail from the match that no one expected was Balor shouting "It's Yersel" after the crowd started some ICW related chants. As Stone Cold would say, I didn't know whether to sh*t or wind my watch... What a moment.
