WWE NXT Spoilers Results (July 16)

WWE taped several episodes of NXT television at Full Sail University in Orlando on Thursday. The shows will air on July 22, July 29, August 5 and August 12 with all of the leading up to NXT Takeover in Brooklyn on August 22. July 22 NXT Champion Finn Balor did a promo. He talked about winning the NXT Title from Kevin Owens and it was announced there would be a contract signing later in the show. - Eva Marie beat KC Cassidy and she used Brian Kendrick's "Sliced Bread #2" finishing move. - Baron Corbin won a squash match over a jobber in about ten seconds. - Samoa Joe beat Mike Rallis. Apparently Joe has new theme music, which is a good thing. - Bayley defeated Emma. After the win, she said she needed to beat the best woman in NXT (Charlotte) before she can win the NXT Women's Title from Sasha Banks. - The Vaudevillains defeated Angelo Dawkins & Sawyer Fulton. - The Balor/Owens contract signing led to a brawl after Owens flipped the table over and knocked down NXT GM William Regal. The brawl ended when Balor got the upperhand and Owens ran away. July 29 - Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder beat Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady. - Baron Corbin defeated Jesse Sorensen easily. Sorensen used to work for TNA and broke his neck at one point. - Jason Jordan & Chad Gable defeated Elias Sampson & Manny Garcia. - Charlotte defeated Dana Brooke. - Kevin Owens defeated Martin Stone. After the match, Owens gave Stone a Powerbomb against the ring apron. - Blake & Murphy defeated The Vaudevillains in a Tag Team Title match. After the match, Alexa Bliss smacked The Vaudevillains when they tried to hold the ropes open for them. August 5 - Bayley defeated Charlotte in what was described as an amazing match. - Baron Corbin defeated Steve Cutler. - Tyler Breeze defeated Aaron Solo. After the match, Regal announced that he was bringing in Jushin "Thunder" Liger to face Breeze at Takeover on August 22. That's some huge news that surprised the crowd. - Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley defeated Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder. After the match, Dawson & Wilder attacked Ryder & Rawley and left them laying. - Samoa Joe defeated Rhyno. It was a long match that Joe won clean. August 12 - Tye Dillinger defeated Solomon Crowe. Dillinger debuted his "Perfect 10" gimmick that he's been doing at live events, but not on TV yet. Good to see that finally make the air. - Baron Corbin defeated Axel Tischer for his fourth squash match win in a row. After the match, Corbin cut a promo about wanting more competitions. When Steve Cutler came out, Corbin took him down too. Samoa Joe ended up coming out to challenge Corbin, they got in a brawl and Joe ended up choking out Corbin to end it. - Finn Balor defeated Marcus Louis. After the match, Kevin Owens attacked Balor and took him out with two Pop Up Powerbombs. Owens posed with the NXT Title. - Bayley defeated Becky Lynch to become the number one contender to the NXT Women's Title held by Sasha Banks, who was on commentary. That could lead to Bayley winning the NXT Women's Title from Banks at Takeover because Banks will be a regular on the main roster. The next tapings are on August 13, so that would be for the August 19 show that would be the last one before Takeover on August 22.
