7. Michael Cole Makes A Terrible Couples Counselor

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUR3xG1Ws18 During the NXT Kickoff special that aired before the main show began we saw an interview featuring Michael Cole speaking with Tyson Kidd and Natalya, and needless to say, there was a lot of tension in the room. Cole was asking Kidd whether he thought he could live with Natalya walking out as the NXT Women's champion if he was unable to win the NXT title from Adrian Neville. Natalya took offense to the comment and tried to speak for Kidd to defend him, and Cole jumped right on her for not letting him speak for himself. Kidd eventually spoke up, attempting to calm his wife while also addressing the question. There seemed to be a little bit of an issue between the two spouses, and things started to go downhill from there. Kidd told Natalya to relax and stopped her from interrupting him again a few moments later. Both of them had frustrated looks on their faces when Cole asked Natalya to let Kidd speak for himself. This is obviously all part of some upcoming storylines, one that will most likely see Kidd turn heel and dump Natalya during the angle based on his actions later in the night. Kidd not only refused to shake Neville's hand after their incredible bout, but he walked right past his wife when he was supposed to talk to Renee Young and Paul Heyman during the post-show and then he stormed off set when he was offended by a question from Paul Heyman. Heyman made a joke earlier in the evening about a show coming to the WWE Network featuring Michael Cole as a couples counselor, and while the joke was funny, it is pretty clear that Cole just made things worse between Nattie and Kidd.
