WWE NXT WarGames 2021: 10 Last-Minute Predictions

5. Timothy Thatcher Returns?

LA Knight doesn't fit on 'Team Black & Gold'.

The braggart heel stands out the most next to Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne, chiefly because he was never at their level before the 2.0 rebrand. He wasn't associated with them either, which is why Timothy Thatcher strolling back into view would be a logical play.

This obviously depends on Thatcher's health, but he's reportedly healed up nicely from old injuries and is awaiting the nod from WWE to return. Rumours did surface that Tim was on the 'nearly' list for releases too though, so this could also be wishful thinking.

What a piece of talent to leave wasting away on the sidelines - Thatcher would be better-served replacing Knight on Ciampa's squad and battling away inside the bruising WarGames environment. That kind of gritty occasion was made for his tough guy character.

Despite being a technician, he can brawl too.
