WWE Outlandish Theory: Cody Rhodes Teasing Stardust / Two-Face Gimmick?
"The Prince of Dark Matter" needs a reboot.

Anyone who's been watching WWE's programming knows that the Stardust gimmick has long since run its course. It was briefly entertaining to see Cody Rhodes as a younger counterpart to his brother, Goldust, but almost two years later, things need to change.
On Thursday, Cody Rhodes tweeted a picture of himself in the middle of applying his Stardust makeup, with only half of his face painted. Rhodes has been frequently teasing the end of the Stardust character on social media over the past several months (to no avail, unfortunately), but perhaps this picture could be heralding something different.
Though it's a longshot, WWE would be wise to tweak Stardust's character, giving him a new look a la Batman's Two-Face and a personality like Matt Borne's "Borne Again" ECW character. Rhodes can switch between his characters uncontrollably, or even - like Borne - exhibit violent tendencies based on the stress of his condition.
Not only could the character give Rhodes the revamp he sorely needs, but it would feel truly unique in the reality-based, PG-rated WWE of today. Though Rhodes has had trouble getting over during his nine-year WWE tenure, he always gives 100% in his performances, and the same would undoubtedly be true here. If WWE isn't planning this, maybe they should be.
