WWE Payback 2016: 10 Reasons It Was Better Than WrestleMania 32

There are those who believe Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose didn't live up to the billing at WrestleMania 32. Dubbed a 'No Holds Barred Street Fight', the match ended suddenly and in a Lesnar victory. Since then, 'The Beast Incarnate' hasn't really been seen on WWE programming.

The man who came out on the losing end however, he most certainly has. Ambrose wasn't exactly let down by WWE management at 'Mania, but there were some expecting that he would be handed the distinction of a win over Brock on the grandest stage the company can provide. That didn't end up happening, but he was vindicated at Payback.

Facing Chris Jericho in a slow-burning brawl, Ambrose was the one chosen to win. The situation will escalate to another bout at Extreme Rules, and it's important the babyface is given another strong showing.

Should he win at that pay-per-view, his loss against Lesnar will be all but forgotten.

Aside from the use of weapons at 'Mania against Brock, Ambrose vs. Jericho was the better match overall. It wasn't simply a succession of spots strung together.
