WWE Payback 2016 filled its obligation as being the post-WrestleMania filler show where nothing particularly significant happens, serving up a few decent matches but little that's going to stick in the mind for long.
Roman Reigns unsurprisingly triumphed over AJ Styles in the PPV's main event, and naturally, the IWC responded in typically witty, hilarious and angry fashion, spitting more imaginative venom about the WWE's insistence to shove Reigns down our throats.
As much as we hate this aspect of the product, though, #CancelWWENetwork never picks up the traction we hope it would, because let's be honest, bad wrestling is kinda like bad pizza: we're going to consume it no matter what our stomach tells us (and might regret it later).

One of the things fans hate most about Roman Reigns isn't just the fact that he's getting pushed to the moon despite lacking charisma and mic skills, but that he's a victim of Superman booking.
Though the end result did make AJ Styles look fairly strong, it's still something of an insult that Reigns took so much punishment from not just Styles but also Anderson and Gallows and still managed to come out on top.
He ate so many finishers and signature moves, and yet still came back to demolish AJ with a Spear. If the WWE wants the fans to warm to Roman, this really isn't the way to do it.
