WWE Payback 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

5. The 'Fiend' Pins Braun Strowman

The Universal Title is a weird one, man.

Nobody involved in the Triple Threat at Payback actually needs the thing to be relevant. Bray Wyatt never did, Braun Strowman is actually better when he doesn't have a belt over his shoulder and Roman Reigns requires some sort of drawn out journey before holding the thing again now he's back.

Perhaps the only available outcome at Payback then is Wyatt's 'Fiend' pinning Strowman like he did at SummerSlam. The writers are blatantly interested in a one-on-one match (or two) between Reigns and 'Fiend', so it'd be a bit of a mistake to have one beat the other so soon.

Braun is the third wheel here, and that's why he should do the job. Afterwards, WWE should do everything they can to veer him off into another rivalry or move him back over to Raw. He has gained little from being involved in SmackDown's World Title mix.
