WWE is always excellent at pay-per-views. They always make it a point to provide the viewers the best matches and the best action, exactly what the viewers paid for, and usually, they succeed. However, Payback, even with all these high profile matches, looked a tad bit weak to me. The matches were excellent, believe me they were, however, there was no excitement and no adrenalin rush, when I was watching the event. Pay-per-views always get me pumped up, for wrestling. Recently, Slammiversary brought back my interest in professional wrestling, and while Payback had excellent matches, it just felt a tad bit bad, compared to TNA's big event. Payback featured multiple quality matches, however, the best match of the night for me was Kaitlyn vs AJ Lee. Also, the fact that Rob Van Dam is returning to the WWE is excellent news for all RVD-fans. The following were the highs and lows from Payback. Highs: Quality of matches AJ Lee becomes Divas Champ Daniel Bryan featured heavily Rob Van Dam announcement CM Punk returns Lows: No excitement in the event John Cena overcomes the odds - again Ryback doesn't seem like a threat Dolph Ziggler loses his championship Overall Rating: 7/10
