WWE Performance Center Introduces New Class Of Recruits

Former WCPW World Heavyweight Champion among new signees...

WWE has announced the newest class of signees at the company's Orlando-based Performance Center, and the nine men and women have all reported to the facility. The group includes independent standouts, a former NFL player, and athletes with legitimate fighting backgrounds.

The new stars include:

Alvin Abitz - An army veteran who has played rugby, Abitz also has experience in professional kickboxing, having won his debut fight for King of the Cage.

Theophilus Agbi - An accomplished amateur wrestler, Agbi was named an NCWA All-American wrestler in 2013 and 2015.

Sarah Bridges - "Crazy" Mary Dobson has made a fast name for herself on the independent seen as one of the most fearless workers in the sport. Her experience in deathmatches has garnered her a fan following.

Demitrius Bronson - A former NFL running back, Bronson was a part of the Seattle Seahawks during the 2014 season and the Miami Dolphins in 2015.

Tom Budgen - Better known as Tommy End, the Dutch Budgen has gained recognition for his work in Europe, the U.S., and Japan. Budgen is famous for incorporating his real-life kickboxing background into his ring work.

Taynara Melo de Carvalho - An accomplished judoka, Melo is a Rio de Janeiro native who took part in the 2016 Olympic trials in her home city.

Victoria Gonzalez - The daughter of Ricky Gonzalez, who formerly worked with Shawn Michaels at the Texas Wrestling Academy, the 24-year-old Gonzalez has worked for the Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance.

Chris Lindsey - Better known as Roderick Strong, Lindsay has been one of the top independent stars in the U.S. for over a decade. He has reigned as Heavyweight Champion in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Full Impact Pro, and Ring of Honor.

Damien "Big Damo" Mackle - A standout on the U.K. independent scene, immense grappler Big Damo has wrestled for most of the country's promotions, as well as other outfits around the world. This summer, he became the inaugural WhatCulture Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion.
