WWE Plan "International Live Event" For January 2023?

Interesting international gossip on possible new WWE event ahead of 2023 Royal Rumble.

Could WWE have an event outside of the United States of America planned as soon as January 2023? And just before the iconic and hugely-anticipated Royal Rumble, no less?

That's the chatter according to the typically reliable WrestleVotes, who offered the following from alleged conversations that took place behind-the-scenes at Monday Night Raw earlier this week. They said;

"I’m told there was chatter last night backstage at RAW of an “international live event” taking place on Wed January 18th or Thurs Jan 19th. With location still TBD. No word on if this event is for TV or not."

As the tweet notes, it's hard to speculate on the specifics of the event without knowing the exact date, location or the nature of the show itself, but 2022's Clash At The Castle in Wales and 2018's Super ShowDown in Australia are both recent examples of the grand scale the company are potentially prepared to operate on should the circumstances merit it.

The proximity to the Royal Rumble is noteworthy should the event be bigger than the typical television taping too - WWE cancelled their planned Day 1 premium live event, meaning that there'll be no PLEs or major events between Survivor Series on November 26th and January 28th. A January 18th/19th card would also fall just before the company's "Raw Is XXX" 30th Anniversary special on January 23rd.

More on this as and if it breaks.
