WWE Planning "Top Secret" Celebrity For WrestleMania 38?
Johnny Knoxville might be out of WWE after Royal Rumble 2022, but...
Johnny Knoxville might be done with WWE after Royal Rumble 2022 this Saturday, but the promotion is working on a different celebrity appearance for WrestleMania 38.
This is according to WrestleVotes. The outlet's sources wouldn't provide a name, probably as WWE either hasn't decided who it'll be or, less likely, is keeping it "top secret."
Knoxville has become a regular fixture on WWE television in recent weeks. Declaring himself for the Royal Rumble on 1 January and confirmed on the following week's SmackDown, he has entered a short program with Sami Zayn to promote the upcoming Jackass Forever film, which is due for release on 4 February.
Celebrity appearances have been a WrestleMania tradition since the event's inception in 1985, when Muhammad Ali, Mr. T, The Rockettes, Liberace, Billy Martin, and Cyndi Lauper were vital in Vince McMahon's attempt at crossing over into mainstream pop culture. Such luminaries as Snooki, Pee-Wee Herman, and Flo Rida have since carried their legacies through the decades.
Logan Paul and Bad Bunny provided celebrity representation at last year's 'Mania, with the latter going above and beyond in a well-received tag team match against The Miz and John Morrison.
