WWE Planning Funeral For Next Week's SmackDown

SmackDown stars will host a funeral for other WWE wrestlers who are very much alive.

The Viking Raiders will hold a "viking funeral" for New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on next week's edition of WWE SmackDown.

WWE announced the segment on Friday's episode, but they didn't really go in-depth on what the skit would actually involve. Brace yourselves, people, because this only ends one way - Kingston and Woods will likely plot some revenge for some of the kickings Erik and Ivar have handed out over the past month or so.

The Raiders took Kofi out on this week's show by bashing him with their shields. They'd previously destroyed Xavier's ankle during another TV angle too, so there's every chance the New Day duo will seek revenge next time.

Or, maybe WWE wants to give New Day a bit of a break from programming so they can return with vigour in another few weeks. That'd make Erik and Ivar look vicious (ahem), and it could help the pair establish themselves as the go-to heel tag-team in the doubles division.

So, to recap, The Viking Raiders will hold a special funeral service for New Day next week.
