WWE Planning Shocking Heel Turn?

Of all the WWE wrestlers you'd predict turning heel, this isn't one of them...

Cora Jade could be on the verge of turning heel on current WWE NXT 2.0 tag team partner Roxanne Perez, with whom she has joined forces in recent weeks.

Dave Meltzer reports in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has at least talked about the idea of Jade going heel. This would be in stark contrast to how the promotion has presented the 21-year-old since signing, having trumpeted Cora as a potential babyface breakout star in the wake of last year's WarGames special.

WWE may also have eyes on making Ivy Nile and Diamond Mine hopeful Tatum Paxley a tag team, which was teased on television for several weeks before falling out of the rotation.

Perez and Jade currently have a guaranteed NXT Women's Tag Team Title shot in the bank following a win over Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on this week's NXT 2.0. On top of this, Perez has another title shot following her Women's Breakout Tournament victory. The tag bout takes place at next Tuesday's Great American Bash special.

Jade has been signed to WWE since January 2021, becoming a TV regular by that May. Perez, meanwhile, was introduced to NXT audiences within weeks of signing this March.
