WWE Poll: Should Donald Trump Be Removed From WWE Hall Of Fame?

Presidential candidate's xenophobic comments have insulted, enraged many.

Even if you simply scan American news sites, it€™s impossible to miss the multitude of stories about business mogul and Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and his latest controversial outburst. The Donald has repeatedly made news for an almost-unending onslaught of xenophobic comments directed at various groups. To date, he€™s insulted €“ or, given the office he€™s seeking, threatened €“ people based on their race, religion, gender, handicap and social status. News media outlets have started outright referring to Trump as a racist because of his repeated an unapologetic comments, and as a liar due to his insistence on repeating claims that are easily debunked. Despite €“ or because of €“ this, Trump has remained at the top of the polling for the GOP nomination for president. But Donald Trump is also a WWE Hall of Famer, inducted in 2013. Trump has a long history of involvement with WWF/E, with his Trump Plaza hosting WrestleManias IV and V. He co-headlined WrestleMania XXIII in the Battle of the Billionaires against Vince McMahon (with Bobby Lashley and Umaga acting as in-ring stand-ins). And Tump briefly €œbought€ Monday Night Raw from McMahon. Trumps repeated comments directed against Muslims, women and others could (and perhaps should) easily be compared to the off-color remarks of another WWE Hall of Famer, albeit one who has made a much bigger contribution to professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan. Earlier this year, Hogan was ostracized from WWE, removed from the company€™s Hall of Fame listing, with all references to him scrubbed from programming and other platforms. Why should WWE continue to honor Trump, whose very public comments while seeking the highest elected office in America, as a Hall of Famer, while removing Hogan for private comments he made that were secretly recorded? Should WWE remove Trump as a Hall of Famer given his xenophobic comments? Vote in the poll below!

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
