Per Dave Meltzer, WWE is said to have significant interest in AEW's Powerhouse Hobbs.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said that there are people in WWE who "really want" Hobbs in the company, and certain key figures are "very high" on the former AEW TNT Champion.

Of course, while it's somewhat of a no-brainer that any wrestling company on the planet would have interest in a talent such as Powerhouse Hobbs, there's the small matter of the Opps man being under contract with AEW. And on that front, Dave Meltzer didn't have any details on when Hobbs' existing deal is up, but he did add that the 34-year-old will "definitely get offers" as and when the time comes.

Currently one-third of the AEW Trios Champions, Powerhouse Hobbs has been with AEW since 2020, initially working AEW Dark bouts as an enhancement talent, before then becoming a formal part of the AEW roster. By November of that year, Hobbs had turned heel and joined Team Taz alongside Taz, Ricky Starks, Brian Cage, and, later, Hook. Hobbs has also been a part of Q.T. Marshall's QTV group, the Don Callis Family, and nowadays is in the Opps with Samoa Joe, Katsoyuri Shibata, and Hook, with his time with the company having seen the real-life William Hobson have solid runs as both a babyface and a heel, though there have been prolonged absences from TV for Hobbs, particularly a knee injury that kept him on the shelf for over six months in 2024.
