In a short backstage segment involving both men, Sami Zayn told Mick Foley that he would take his talents elsewhere if the General Manager didn't start appreciating him. Picking up where Sami left off, Foley said he would contact Daniel Bryan about setting up a trade between Raw and SmackDown Live.

Later, Zayn wrestled Jinder Mahal in a fairly brief match. During the 3 minutes or so they had to tell the story, Michael Cole and the announcers did a wonderful job of putting over Sami's abilities. Yet again, this proved just how valuable the commentary trio are. They can tell tales in rapid fashion.

As Zayn fought off Mahal, Cole said that SmackDown better have someone good in mind to trade for Sami. His actual words were that Raw needs some "big time" talent from the Tuesday night show in return. Both Byron Saxton and Corey Graves then echoed such sentiments, giving the impression that - heel or babyface - they definitely didn't want to lose Sami Zayn. This was a nice, yet completely subtle, touch.
