WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (March 14th)

8. A Kneedrop To Nuance

Sin Cara pulled out some high-risk offense of his own during his match with Ryback, but it was all for naught. The former Intercontinental Champion nailed Sin Cara with a Shell Shock, then hit him with another one for good measure. Ryback then made the cover, staring Kalisto down as he scored the pin. After the bout, Ryback cut a promo about how a good big guy beats a good little guy every time, then challenged Kalisto to a United States Championship match at WrestleMania. Last week, though, Ryback seemed to be buttering Kalisto up, unctuously telling the U.S. Champ that he should be looking out for himself and he should drop his partnership with Sin Cara. It looked to be a clever, innovative way to start a program, but it was completely dropped in favor of the more direct approach. The announcers - JBL in particular - tried to cover the incongruity by suggesting that Ryback was simply playing mind games with Kalisto last week, but the results speak for themselves. The interesting part of the feud is over, and now we're left with nothing more than a WrestleMania styles clash that will serve as a waste of Kalisto.
