8. Alberto Del Rio (2011)
In January last year, Mexican wrestler Alberto Del Rio was given his first real push in the WWE. His 2011 Royal Rumble win earned him the opportunity to headline at WrestleMania. Even though he lost he was soon elevated to Monday Night Raw. Del Rio continued to impress on Raw and after capturing the Money in the Bank, he took his opportunity against a battered CM Punk and became the WWE champion which led him to main event several times and become a well established heel.
7. The Miz (2009)
The Miz was drafted to Raw back in 2009 after quickly made an impact. The Miz has won the United States title, the WWE Championship as well as teaming with the Big Show to win the Tag Team Championship. He has featured in several main events in a variety of PPVs he also was the main event at Wrestlemania 27 against John Cena. His feud with Cena led to a great rivalry and built a background for John Cena vs. The Rock.
