WWE RAW 20th Anniversary: 10 Reasons It Sucked

6. Mick Foley = Wasted

Always a spark to any program he is a part of, Mick Foley was on the scene last night. I was expecting maybe another jab at CM Punk (their confrontations in the past have made for great TV) or even a light-hearted segment involving one of his many alter-egos, however, what we got was far from worthy: another come-from-the-stands attack by The Shield. It's getting old, and not even Ryback can save this concept anymore. And to put Mick Foley in the ring, microphone in hand, and have his segment squashed by these Shield guys, was ludicrous. Foley is part of the backbone of WWE and Monday Night Raw, and while we did get an entertaining piece with he and The Rock backstage, to put him in the ring, ready to promo, and have him fall at the hands of The Shield was just pointless.

5. John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler. Again.

This match just doesn't feel special anymore. Putting them in a steel cage certainly opens the door for new opportunities, but when they fail to deliver on the high spots or even the match intrigue, it falls flat. Both Cena and Ziggler are capable of big time matches, but week in and week out recently they have wrestled each other; putting them in a steel cage is nothing more than the WWE being lazy and trying to milk that cow all over again. Again, another wasted segment on what was supposed to be a huge show.
