5. The Shield Officially Turn Face
http://youtu.be/96-ozhe6rzQ For months now the tweaking of The Shield's self identity has been going through the discovery process. At one time they were positioned for a breakup that would have seen Dean Ambrose become the heel, and Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns go on to be babyfaces. But in recent months, that has been put on the back burner in favor of keeping the group together for just a little while longer. And that decision, while questionable initially, paid dividends this week on RAW. In the main event which had Daniel Bryan set to face Triple H in a rematch from Wrestlemania XXX, Bryan took a beatdown from Batista and Randy Orton (surprise, I know). And then Triple H made his way out to start the match, with Bryan soundly beaten already...cue The Shield's music and the arena erupted. The Shield hit the ring and made the save on Daniel Bryan, with Roman Reigns spearing Triple H and putting Orton and Batista down, laying waste to the old remnants of Evolution. Immediately The Shield cement their current legacy as huge babyfaces, and we get a potential setup for a huge 8 man tag team match on RAW next week. this segment was electric, and it sent the live crowd into a frenzy, and left the viewers at home satifisfied with a great conclusion to the broadcast.
