2. The Intercontinental Title Tournament Feels Important
Big E has been the WWE Intercontinental Champion since mid-November of 2013. And since that time, what once was looking very promising has since become stale and stagnant, with no real threat to his championship reign or any significant importance placed on Big E as the reigning champion. But in recent weeks that feeling has changed, with WWE putting together a #1 contenders tournament for Big E's title with the hope of generating more interest in the belt, and attempting to return it to some state of its former glory. It has been a really long time since the IC Title has felt important like it did in the Attitude Era, and it has been even longer since the days of Ricky the Dragon and The Macho Man made it a legendary and very special title to hold. This recent tournament has restored a bit of that feeling, with all the participants thus far really putting on 4 star, if not a 5 star or two, matches in their quest to face Big E. http://youtu.be/S57Y_K8Olms Now that the end appears to be in sight, its time for Big E to get involved and make it feel real. The remaining entrants, RVD and Bad News Barrett, must now take to the mic in order for this re-emergence of the IC Title to feel real and worthwhile. If we don't hear from them as to why they want to win Intercontinental gold, then we won't care when it's time for one of them to face Big E.
